And when I faced a problem in 2.6.24, I tried to connect my > antenna without a Diseqc - it made no difference... yes, the Bugzilla report is not about your card, but the saa7134 LifeView FLYDVB-S with single LNB support by an isl6421, same as on the LifeView Trio PCI and cardbus. The newer cards have an isl6405 with dual LNB support, also it is behind the i2c gate of the tda10086. Forgot to mention that there is also the triple MD7134 (Creatix CTX925) supported now with DVB_PLL_PHILIPS_SD1878_TDA8261 tuner, no reports on the lists so far. For cards with lnbp21 Hartmut added the Philips Snake on saa7134. This one can provide the 22kHz tone by that LNB supply chip in opposite to your card with the same chip. It is decision of the manufacturer to do it or not turned out. This caused the regression for you on 2.6.24. > Well, maybe I missed something in the description and this patch > actually solves my problem either... So I'm looking forward to test > the 'new' .24 kernel with this patch. There is not any other related code changed, except the above on tda10086. The fix is already confirmed on v4l-dvb devel. The point is, before any multiswitches come in, you need the tone to be able to switch to high-band on an universal LNB. If it takes too long or you don't want to compile your own patched 2.6.24.4, just install v4l-dvb master. On 2.6.25 it is fixed too.
