Hi Tom,

you might remember that I did not like when some people did not stop to
ask, how they could have v4l2 version 1 up to date for their obscure
interests.

The case here is a little different.

People like Mauro, Mike and Trent are spending a lot of work, Trent
especially during all the last time, that we have some reasonable
compatibility and likely one of the best build systems around ever.

So, we don't send people into deserts, if not needed.

This counts especially for those working on university projects, they
likely have own software in use, which might need to be updated too,
but to do this is in most cases _not_ the subject of their studies ...
