Analog is working for your, great.

I don't really want to apply partial patches - but I suspect anyone who 
is interested in working on the 800i could easily patch the 
xc5000-analog tree, with the one-liner.

If/when you do get digital working, I'd be more than happy to merge your 
new patch then.

Other than checking the signaling registers that deal with how the edges 
are driver, serial vs parallel and the SOP handing - that's usually it. 
I don't have anything else to recommend.
