I´ve recently purchaced a typhoon model nr. 50500. The analog tv part of it works fine but the DVB is having problems. On bttv-gallery.de (a listing of card types) i have found no cards which have both the same "gpio" AND "eeprom 40:" lines. Also, i´ve been using dvb-utils scan tool to test if the device is working. Is there a better/simpler tool? any help would be greatly appreciated, -m dmesg: [ 8099.844000] pccard: CardBus card inserted into slot 1 [ 8100.624000] saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.14 loaded [ 8100.628000] PCI: Enabling device 0000:06:00.0 (0000 -> 0002) [ 8100.628000] ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:06:00.0[A] -> Link [C187] -> GSI 11 (level, low) -> IRQ 11 [ 8100.628000] saa7133[0]: quirk: PCIPCI_NATOMA [ 8100.628000] saa7133[0]: found at 0000:06:00.0, rev: 240, irq: 11, latency: 0, mmio: 0x2c000000 [ 8100.628000] PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:06:00.0 to 64 [ 8100.628000] saa7133[0]: subsystem: 4e42:0502, board: LifeView/Typhoon/Genius FlyDVB-T Duo Cardbus [card=60,autodetected] [ 8100.632000] saa7133[0]: board init: gpio is e010000 [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 00: 42 4e 02 05 54 20 1c 00 43 43 a9 1c 55 d2 b2 92 [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 10: 00 ff 22 0f ff 20 ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 20: 01 40 01 03 03 01 01 03 08 ff 01 81 ff ff ff ff [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 30: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 40: ff 25 00 c0 ff 10 07 01 c2 96 00 16 22 15 ff ff [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 50: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 60: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff [ 8100.768000] saa7133[0]: i2c eeprom 70: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff [ 8100.884000] tuner 1-004b: chip found @ 0x96 (saa7133[0]) [ 8100.932000] tuner 1-004b: setting tuner address to 61 [ 8100.972000] tuner 1-004b: type set to tda8290+75a [ 8101.084000] tuner 1-004b: setting tuner address to 61 [ 8101.124000] tuner 1-004b: type set to tda8290+75a [ 8101.192000] saa7133[0]: registered device video0 [v4l2] [ 8101.192000] saa7133[0]: registered device vbi0 [ 8101.192000] saa7133[0]: registered device radio0 [ 8101.304000] saa7134 ALSA driver for DMA sound loaded [ 8101.304000] saa7133[0]/alsa: saa7133[0] at 0x2c000000 irq 11 registered as card -2 lspci -v: 06:00.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder (rev f0) Subsystem: Unknown device 4e42:0502 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11 Memory at 2c000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2K] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 scan /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/de-Berlin: scanning /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/de-Berlin using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' initial transponder 522000000 0 2 9 1 1 2 0 initial transponder 570000000 0 2 9 1 1 2 0 initial transponder 618000000 0 1 9 1 1 2 0 initial transponder 658000000 0 2 9 1 1 2 0 initial transponder 778000000 0 2 9 1 1 2 0 >>> tune to: 778000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_AUTO:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE __tune_to_transponder:1491: ERROR: FE_READ_STATUS failed: 5 Input/output error ... >>> tune to: 778000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_AUTO:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE __tune_to_transponder:1491: ERROR: FE_READ_STATUS failed: 5 Input/output error ERROR: initial tuning failed dumping lists (0 services) Done. uname -a: (newly installed ubuntu feisty) Linux compaq 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Fri Aug 31 00:55:27 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ____________________________________________________________________________________ Take the Internet to Go: Yahoo!Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos & more. http://mobile.yahoo.com/go?refer=1GNXIC _______________________________________________ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
