I was pointed to w_scan on http://edafe.org/vdr/wscan.html which seems to be
what I was looking for.

I'm still not finding any channels though:

root@media w_scan-20060903]# ./w_scan -fc -vvvv
w_scan version 20060902
Info: using DVB adapter auto detection.
Found DVB-C frontend. Using adapter /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
-_-_-_-_ Getting frontend capabilities-_-_-_-_
frontend ST STV0297 DVB-C supports
INVERSION_AUTO
QAM_AUTO not supported, trying QAM_64 and QAM_256.
FEC_AUTO

50500:

etc...

Can anyone out there using a TT-1500 budget DVB-C card give me any pointers?
Does this card need really high signal levels etc??
