Why My Freecom dvb-t usb stick perform worse under linux than windows?

I got a freecom usb dvb-t stick. I works perfect under windows, and I
could view so many channels from freeview.

but under my ubuntu (Linux Matt 2.6.17-11-generic #2 SMP Tue Mar 13
23:32:38 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux), I could only watch 3 to 5 channels
by using MyTHTV 0.20.

The mythtv always could scan the freqs. and got all channel infor. but
when you view them, it will fail.

I am quite confused, Is this issus related to the fireware or the
v4l-dvb kernel? or the linux kernel?
it's really wired..It looks like under windows the signal qulity is
much better than linux. :(

Any one get idea about this? Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Ken
