Because full support isn't present in that kernel. My Nova-T stick (ID 2040:7050) requires mt2060, support for which is in the v4l-dvb repository and 2.6.20-rc*; it looks like yours is also supported. If you choose to use the repository, make sure that /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/media is moved out of the way and that no v4l or dvb modules are loaded. -- | Darren Salt | linux or ds at | nr.
