This register default value seems to be 0x48 as seen test log under:

Could you test write this register bit by bit to see which bit is
needed to get your device working? 0x01, 0x02, 0x04, 0x08 etc.

Setting register 0x5A to:
0x00 -> works
0x01 -> works
0x02 -> works
0x04 -> works
0x08 -> works
0x10 -> works
0x20 -> works
0x40 -> DOES NOT WORK
0x80 -> works
