Hello, I'm using an AverMedia Volar USB2 DVB-T receiver. When scanning some frequencies where there are channels, it can lock the signal but then it times out instead of tuning successfully. Here is an example: $ lsusb|grep AVer Bus 005 Device 004: ID 07ca:b808 AVerMedia Technologies, Inc. $ cat scantest # There are channels here T 594000000 8MHz 2/3 2/3 QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE # There are no channels here T 203500000 8MHz 2/3 2/3 QAM64 8k 1/4 NONE # There are channels here but tuning times out T 203500000 7MHz 2/3 2/3 QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE $ scan -5 scantest 2>&1 | ts 17:50:50 scanning scantest 17:50:50 using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' 17:50:50 initial transponder 594000000 0 2 2 3 1 0 0 17:50:50 initial transponder 203500000 0 2 2 3 1 3 0 17:50:50 initial transponder 203500000 1 2 2 3 1 0 0 17:50:50 >>> tune to: 594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE 17:50:51 Network Name 'Network Name' 17:50:51 0x0000 0x0001: pmt_pid 0x1f54 Rete A All Music -- All Music (running) 17:50:51 0x0000 0x0002: pmt_pid 0x1f56 Rete A All Music -- Repubblica TV (running) 17:50:51 0x0000 0x0003: pmt_pid 0x1f58 Rete A All Music -- FR 2 (running) 17:50:51 0x0000 0x0005: pmt_pid 0x0210 Rete A All Music -- Radio DeeJay (running) 17:50:51 0x0000 0x0006: pmt_pid 0x0211 Rete A All Music -- Radio Capital (running) 17:50:51 0x0000 0x0007: pmt_pid 0x0212 Rete A All Music -- Radio m2o (running) 17:50:51 >>> tune to: 203500000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE 17:50:53 WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!! 17:50:53 >>> tune to: 203500000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE (tuning failed) 17:50:55 WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!! 17:50:55 >>> tune to: 203500000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_7_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE 17:51:22 WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0011 17:51:23 WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0000 17:52:12 WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0010 17:52:12 dumping lists (6 services) 17:52:12 Done. 17:52:12 All Music:594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:8000:137:1 17:52:12 Repubblica TV:594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:8002:8003:2 17:52:12 FR 2:594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:8006:8007:3 17:52:12 Radio DeeJay:594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:514:5 17:52:12 Radio Capital:594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:515:6 17:52:12 Radio m2o:594000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:516:7 Is there a way I can get those channels that time out? I feel like I should be able to: I can currently only tune into some minor channels and not into the major ones like the RAI national broadcaster.
