I just upgraded 2.6.17.14 -> 2.6.19.1 in order to test a "WINTV-NOVA-T 500 MCE" I have on loan. I installed the firmware in /lib/firmware -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 29955 Dec 17 17:03 dvb-usb-dib0700-01.fw and the boot log suggests it was recognized. I can see it in /dev/dvb. I then ran 'scan' which was not doing good progress so I killed it and got an oops (below). Should I even attempt to use this card at this stage? Reading the list (I am now on it) It looks like a very recent addition and it maybe not be ready for usage yet. I also note that the boot messages (see below) show that the two tuners were found twice, both rejected on the first attempt.
