Hi folks

Here is a patch for Hauppage Nova-T-Stick and Nova-T-500 users.
It sets the MT2060 IF1 frequency according to the
calibration values stored in the EEPROM.

It is supposed to enhance the signal quality, but, hey,
there is no guarantee.
Feedbacks would be much appreciated, to know whether it
deserves being applied.

Hi,

I have a nova-t-stick, I've applied your patch and re-installed the module. I probably not the best case as my system doesn't seem to work very well; I have some i2c issues and get lots of kernel messages like ( mt2060 I2C read failed) when watching TV. I have a via sp13000 which I'm using to run freevo. It has fedora core 5, with the latest kernel 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5. And I have a compiled set of modules from hg.

with your patch tzap still fails to get signal lock. and looking at the signal numbers from dvbtune the strength appears to be pretty much the same as my last post about my tzap problems to this mailing list. (see below for numbers with your driver patch)

From xine, which is the only way I can successfully use my DVB stick atm, the stick seems to work pretty much the same as before, getting a picture takes a while to appear but it does work and tune, there doesn't appear to be any noticeable change to the picture quality (which was pretty good anyway).

I'm happy to try other things if you want more testing. And if you have any suggestions about how I solve my i2c issues then that would be ace!
