En/na Oliver Endriss ha escrit:

Well, error_rate = number_of_errors/total_count.

From API spec 0.9.4:
- 'The BER, as a multiple of 10E-9, is stored into *ber'
- example: 'a value of 2500 corresponds to a BER of 2.5*10E-6'

Unfortunately, this precise definition was removed from API V3,
leaving the meaning of BER undefined. Why was it removed?

@all:
What should be returned as the bit error rate?
Is the definition from the 0.9.4 spec still valid?
Imho it makes sense.

I didn't see replies to this question, so I'm asking it again.
I'm currently writing a driver and I only have access to the raw data (and various formulas), so I'd like to know what I have to return as the ber, unc, snr and signal strength.

Bye
