Apologies if this is delivered twice; I've had a problem with my web connection and have resent it. Hi, I have a Terratec Cinergy T USB XS and a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 900, and I am unable to use my Terratec card. I am using Linux kernel 2.6.18.2 and v4l-dvb-kernel tip (and have tried many other combinations). I've tried every version of the firmware linked from the em2880 page at linuxtv.org and have also used the convert program from v4l-dvb-kernel/v4l_experimental/xc3028/ with emBDA.sys to generate my own firmware.
From what I can tell, everything has loaded properly; I get a
/dev/dvb/adapter0 directory created and I can see no obvious errors in /var/log/messages. My problem appears when I try to use the scan utility; I get the output that I've put in scan.txt (WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!!). If I use my Hauppauge card everything works perfectly: scan finds the channels that I expect and I can get the full transport stream from the card. If I use the Hauppauge card to create a channels.conf file and tune the Terratec card using it, the Terratec card doesn't supply any data to a read function call. I have included a dmesg and lsmod output. I have no idea how to proceed to try to get the Terratec card to work. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you very much, --Andrew -------- scan --------
