so why this difference ?
other thing, i' ve got the same results with an hauppauge hybrid pro
stick, but with another PC all is good. Mine is an athlon 800 (maybe
not enought ?)
Your PC definitely is fast enough.
2 possible reasons:
- there is something wrong with the configuration data for this
multiplex.
you can set all options to "AUTO" in your channels.conf file except
bandwidth and exact frquency (and the PIDs of corse)
- The signal amplitude might be too high. Not sure but yout tuner might
have a configuration option that is not yet supported in the tuner
driver.
This is something i urgently need to work on.
Can you please try and give feedback?
Hartmut
i'm not sure i 'm very clear,
with 2 differents dvb card (hvr1110 & hauppauge hybrid pro stick) on my
pc, i have the same problem on a channel called M6 : little squares on
screen and disturb sound and then no sound.
Then i test the hybrid pro stick on a laptop (here i can't test my
hvr1110 : pci card) with the same operating system : on the same channel
and at the same site (my house) all is good : good reception and
beautiful picture on channel called M6.
So i think there is a problem with my hardware configuration, here is why :
when my main memory is configured in bios at 100Mhz, on ALL channels the
results are the same : little squares on screen.
i can configure it to 133Mhz and the problem is only located for M6.
So something is lost with transfers between main memory and pci bus.
but i can't upgrade to 166Mhz (bios limitation). so ...
However, i will try what you suggested and provide feedback
Thanks for your answer.
Tom.
PS : sorry for my very bad english .
Nobody is perfect ;-)
Anyway: The second log shows that the channel decoder reports uncorrected
blocks. This is a problem with the reception quality and does not depend
on the speed of the PC. Even a p233 is fast enough to capture a DVB stream
(though it can't decode the MPEG) But if this depends on the memory speed
setting, the this sounds like the cards pick up RF noise from your PC. So:
Do you use an indoor antenna sitting close to the PC? Did you connect it
properly with a coax cable? Are the connectors ok?
Can you please check this?
Good luck
Hartmut
