It seems so. Yet, it is something caused by the DVB device or driver, since
it occurs specifically when I try to change something. I just tried to just
watch TV, and it worked without oopsing; in particular, it survived several
of these annoying but seemingly harmless "APIC error"s that I have since the
beginning. It oopsed when I tried to change the channel (on the fourth
time).

On the other hand, I just tried to insert an USB hub in the chain, and now
mplayer complains that:

dvb_streaming_read, attempt N. 6 failed with errno 0 when reading 1948 bytes

and tzap shows a status of 1b instead of 1f. The status stays 1b even if I
unplug the stick and re-plug it directly on the computer. It all seems quite
mysterious.

It seems to be an ATI SB400.
