Hello,
I'm Ubuntu 6.06 LTS user on kernell 2.6.15-27-k7 with the last v4l-dvb
sources compiled to make
this Pinnacle 310i runing dvb-t with dvb-fe-tda10046.fw firmware.
Being from France I use the secam videostandard and everything is ok
for analogue tv.
Here is the dmesg output when probing saa7134 module with secam=l

I want to add that I've already manage to have dvb-t on my Ubuntu with
an other card.
So, from where come this trouble ; hardware, configuration ?
Thank you for any help you could give.

seems that you have done all steps like but here i repeat :
make all & make install from v4l dir
perl *path_to_v4l_dir*/linux/Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware tda10046 //to get firmware
cp *path_to_v4l_dir*/linux/Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware/dvb-fe-tda10046.fw /lib/firmware //copy firmware where hotplug search for it
reboot ;) it's better ;)
I have ubuntu 606 like you. Try to compile a new vanilla kernel from source.
I say this because when i have tried to compile current v4l my messages tell me the to get
work perfectly all features i have to compile at least kernel 2.6.16. So i have download and
compile 2.6.18 kernel. If you have problems look at this to compile a new kernel under ubuntu :
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=217657&highlight=howto+grub
I don't know if is this the problem but if you receive during v4l compilation the same message,
try to update kernel.
Maybe other people can tell u more than me ;)
best regards
kev
