I have got a Terratec Cinergy T² which causes about 3200 Interrupts / second.
The reason is:
DVB-T Input rate=13276kBit/s (measured with dvbtraffic)
BULK EP max packet size=512Byte (from /proc/bus/usb/devices)
makes 13276 / 8 * 1000 / 512 = 3241.2 Bulk-packtes/second

Probably max packet size=128.
