Thats good, until you do the scan it should show orange (amber is english for 
an orange with a brown element to it)

Are you sure nothing is created?  Do you have udev in your system to create 
device nodes dynamically.  If you have it, but the wrong rules you 
get /dev/dvb* files.  With the standard rules you get /dev/dvb/adapter0/... 
devices.

What does lsusb -t show, mine shows this.

root@roo:~# lsusb -t
