yep, thats right.. dvb_attach does the dependencies at runtime.

Strange! it should be working then... hmm, could you tar up those modules and 
your kernel and stick it on a server somewhere so I can investigate?

Just a quick sanity check: your machine is definitely running that kernel now?

What version of module-init-tools are you using?
