Regardless, do not use dvb-kernel cvs -- it is too old, and will not build against 2.6.17 Instead, you should be using the latest snapshot of v4l-dvb from mercurial (hg) on linuxtv.org. see http://linuxtv.org/repo for detailed instructions.
