Hi. I have a Hama usb 2.0 dvb-t stick since a few days. I could record a semi-finale of the soccer world cup an watch some other movies. I used mplayer for that like mplayer dvb://ZDF So I am sure that the card works. But I can not receive data via dvbstream. I always get an empty file. dvbstream -o 545 546 514 > tmp.ts Even a simple cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 > tmp.dump fails, ie. produces an empty file. What can I do to get the device working? --- vulkan ~ # uname -a Linux vulkan 2.6.16-gentoo-r9 #2 Thu Jul 6 01:34:23 MEST 2006 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2000+ GNU/Linux vulkan ~ # lsmod Module Size Used by ehci_hcd 40072 0 dvb_usb_dtt200u 8708 0 dvb_usb 18888 1 dvb_usb_dtt200u firmware_class 10048 1 dvb_usb i2c_core 20560 1 dvb_usb usbcore 131076 4 ehci_hcd,dvb_usb_dtt200u,dvb_usb vulkan ~ # ls -l /dev/dvb/adapter0/ total 0 crw-rw---- 1 root video 212, 4 Jul 6 10:51 demux0 crw-rw---- 1 root video 212, 5 Jul 6 10:51 dvr0 crw-rw---- 1 root video 212, 3 Jul 6 10:51 frontend0 crw-rw---- 1 root video 212, 7 Jul 6 10:51 net0 vulkan ~ # equery u mplayer [ Searching for packages matching mplayer... ] [ Colour Code : set unset ] [ Legend : Left column (U) - USE flags from make.conf ] [ : Right column (I) - USE flags packages was installed with ] [ Found these USE variables for media-video/mplayer-1.0_pre8 ] U I - - 3dfx : Adds support for 3dfx video cards to XFree86.
