Building a driver for a 2.4 kernel

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi there,

I have to confess to being a bit confused at the moment.

I have a Freecom DVB-T usb stick and need to use it on a 2.4 kernel. I've grabbed the latest 2.4 drivers using

   $ cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs/linuxtv co -P -rlinux_2_4 dvb-kernel

and don't see the driver listed (dvb-usb, dvb-usb-dtt200u - I think). The driver dvb-usb is in the 2.6 sources, but I don't see dvb-usb-dtt200u in there either so I guess it's only available from via Mercurial...

Can someone confirm my understanding here and if so, how difficult is it to migrate the necessary drivers for compilation against a 2.4 kernel.

Cheers

Mark
