Hi all I cannot use anymore the Hauppauge WinTV NOVA T USB2. I'm using Fedora 5, kernel 2.6.16.15 and latest Mercurial code. I get Kernel Oops a few seconds after I plug in the USB cable. It used to work very well until 18 April 2006. I've found that the problem started sometime between version 3845 and 3898 of the HG Repository, in that area there are a lot of check ins named "Convert XXX to refactored tuner code" Here is an example of my /var/log/messages May 10 23:01:53 thinkpad kernel: usb 1-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5 May 10 23:01:53 thinkpad kernel: usb 1-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice May 10 23:01:54 thinkpad kernel: dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T usb2' in cold state, will try to load a firmware May 10 23:01:54 thinkpad kernel: dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-nova-t-usb2-01.fw' May 10 23:01:54 thinkpad kernel: usbcore: registered new driver dvb_usb_nova_t_usb2 May 10 23:01:54 thinkpad kernel: usb 1-4: USB disconnect, address 5 May 10 23:01:54 thinkpad kernel: dvb-usb: generic DVB-USB module successfully deinitialized and disconnected. I've posted the same in the mailing list "video4linux" but I think this is a better place. I'm not sure about the difference of the 2 mailing lists.
