Since the cinergyT2 is a USB 2.0 only device, shouldn't the Kconfig state: depends on DVB_CORE && USB_EHCI_HCD Rather than just: depends on DVB_CORE && USB Surely this would stop the cases where people are having trouble getting their device working because they only have USB 1.1 support loaded (In this case the driver loads, reports no errors and appears to tune but you don't receive any data). There have been at least three cases cases of this reported to the mailing list by my reckoning and probably more cases where users figured it out for themselves.
