I have been unable to get the /dev/dvb entries set up for my Kworld DVB-S 100. I have tried several
recent versions of the kernel, the latest being 2.6.16-rc6. I am running Slackware 10.2.
I have found on the net that it is necessary to create file /etc/udev/scripts/dvb.sh that contains:
#!/bin/sh
/bin/echo $1 | /bin/sed -e 's,dvb\([0-9]\)\.\([^0-9]*\)\([0-9]\),dvb/adapter\1/\2\3,'
#end of script
This I have done. However, I believe that the problem occurs before udev runs, as /sys/class/dvb is
empty.
Here is more doc, and thanks in advance.
