Error "Unknown symbol in module" with today's Mercurial

Hi,

I wanted to test the latest Mercurial drivers with Kanotix 2005-04 which is
based on Debian Sid and has been updated to kernel 2.6.15. But using
"./insmod.sh load" gives me the error message: "error inserting
'./cx88-dvb.ko': -1 unknown symbol in module".

I tested it like this:
- I downloaded todays archive and extracted it to /usr/local/src
- I went to the main directory and did 'make'. There were no error messages.
- I copied the script 'insmod.sh' from the v4l/scripts directory to the v4l
directory
- In the v4l directory, I first called './insmod.sh unload' for unloading
the modules from kernel 2.6.15 and './insmod.sh load' for loading the newer
Mercurial drivers.

The drivers so far seem to work as expected with my Cinergy T2, but I would
like to know how this error can be fixed in case I would want to use a card
depending on this module - or if I did make any mistake.

With kind regards

Jörg Knitter
