BPSK = (B)inary (P)hase (S)hift (K)eying
BPSK is the simplest form of Phase Shift Keying. I think DSS uses BPSK

it is also termed as 2PSK, the phase difference is 180 degrees, and hence occupies two positions in the constellation diagram.


QPSK = (Q)uadrature (P)hase (S)hift (K)eying

In this case the phase difference is 90 degress and occupies 4 positions in the constellation diagram
can be called as 4PSK too.




Just an idea - was wondering why some have letters and others have numbers.



Easier for the tongue, maybe. All are the same. Suggestion sounds good..
