Now that we're moving to Mercurial, couldn't we centralize the location of the available firmware files? I'd propose providing all files in http://linuxtv.org/download/firmware/ There are many files already. Could all the fw files from the old CVS (<http://linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/dvb-kernel/firmware/>) be added there? In addition to these, there are the dvb-fe-sp8870.fw and dvb-fe-nxt2004.fw files which are downloadable only with the get_dvb_firmware script. Couldn't these too be provided in http://linuxtv.org/download/firmware/?
