just bought a new Terratec 1200 DVB-S with the new SD1878 tuner
lspci gives, notice the new subid 1155:

It didn't work under linux kernel 2.6.14.5, then I saw your patch for the
SD1878 tuner on the KNC1 card.

Changed the budget-av.c source with your patch and changed the CINERGY1200
code to use the new tuner.
And it worked!!
So I've a few questions:
1) Where can I get the latest source of budget-av.c?
2) To whom do I mail the patch for review or testing?
