Hmm, considering that resolution is almost always interlaced, i wonder 
whether that 50fps is a translation error.... For the moment very view 
displays can handle 1080p.

H.264 (or MPEG4 part 10) decoding costs more than MPEG2 decoding does.

divx is also part of the MPEG4 spec, and decoding that is way easier.
