[linux-dvb] Freecom DVB-T USB Stick initialisation failure

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I've just bought a Freecom DVB-T USB Stick and am trying to get it to work on a
2.6.15 kernel (compiled today from kernel.org sources with no patches). When I
plug into a usb port, the device is recognised and the firmware is loaded. But
the initialisation fails with the message:

dvb-usb: recv bulk message failed: -110

I know this is a usb error and thought about raising the problem with the usb
developers, but decided to start with dvb first. Nevertheless, I've turned on
verbose usb debugging, and loaded the dvb modules with full debugging. An extract
from /var/log/kernel which shows the messages from plugging the device up to the
error message follows:

Happy to be advised to follow this up with the usb developers, but have to start
somewhere. All my other usb devices (HDD, Flash Disk, Compact Flash Reader...)
are working fine.

Thanks in advance,

Chris
