Hi, i'm a very novize with linux and i'm using the SuseLinux 10 opensource Distribution with kernel 2.6.13-15.7-default. While bootinng no dvb-module were loaded and boot.msg were Inspecting /boot/System.map-2.6.13-15.7-default Loaded 24242 symbols from /boot/System.map-2.6.13-15.7-default. Symbols match kernel version 2.6.13. No module symbols loaded - kernel modules not enabled. While installing the card with yast2 the card ist detected as "TV-Card with the number 0 Cardname: CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder Driver cx8800" But while clicking on the Tuner-Button the followed massages apears: "For the choosen Card no tuner is available" So i'd try the patch from linuxtv.org with the following procedure: cd/usr/src cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs/linuxtv login cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs/linuxtv co dvb-kernel cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs/video4linux login cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs/video4linux co v4l-kernel cd v4l-kernel patch -p0 *< */tmp/v4l-enable-cx24123.patch after that a massage appears: no such file or directory clearly the rest does'nt work: make merge-trees make make install Is ther anything worong with the procedure? Are theire any step-by-step howto for me? -ralf-
