[linux-dvb] Problems with Nova-s SE

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I just added a Nova-s SE (similar to
http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_NOVA-S left pic, albeit
with the Hauppauge sticker). The SAA7146 chip is reported by the BIOS
summary as well as lspci just fine. But when I modprobe budget the
receiver chip (stv0299) isn't reported (the module is loaded), and
I can't use the card even if it is the only DVB card. My other cards
(FuSi Activy budget, rev 1.3 ff card) work fine. The OS is a SUSE 9.3
2.6.11.4-21.7-default kernel, and I'm using the in-kernel DVB drivers.

Could it be that the stv0299 chip has gone south at some point in the past?
