Is this related to adding Nebula mt352 support to dvb-bt8xx.c, which broke nxt6000 support? See: http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2005-August/004238.html This might be something different also, as I think that 2.6.12 kernel does not yet contain mt352 support. For example 2.6.12.5 gives the messages show below. No frontend device is ever created. Things work perfectly with a 2.6.8.1 kernel. I had a bit of a play trying to debug the kernel and the problem seems to occur around the /* check if the demod is there */ if (nxt6000_readreg(state, OFDM_MSC_REV) != NXT6000ASICDEVICE) goto error; lines in the nxt6000_attach function in nxt6000.c. However kernel code is far beyond my knowledge of C :) I have seen similar problems reported elsewhere and the solution seemed to be IRQ related - moving the card to a different PCI slot was reported to work. However my machine only has a single slot so I can not try that. Any ideas?
