Another remote control question, this time regarding the Debian / Ubuntu setup of the Hauppauge Nova-T remote control device. Both Ubuntu and Debian SID have a script /etc/udev/scripts/inputdev.sh that seems to be used to identify those input devices that are associated with DVB. It checks for the strings "dvb|saa7134" in /proc/bus/input/devices and if a match, udev chowns the input device to root.video Problem is that the Nova-t is identified in /proc/bus/input/devices as "N: Name="cx88 IR (Hauppauge Nova-T DVB-T"" so doesn't match. Anyway I've changed the line in permissions.rules to inputdev.sh %k "DVB" and it now works... http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=272434 ...but is that the correct place to put it? Shouldn't all dvb driver names be standardised / prefixed so that they can be easily identified by such scripts? Or should I just contact the Debian / Udev maintainers about this? -RichardW.
