Do you think if I update the kernel from 2.6.8 smp to 2.6.13 smp my problems will resolve? (pinnacle pctv sat don't work on my suse 9.2) I think that my kernel is tainting so if I update the kernel, the modules for bttv : bt878 dvb_bt878 and conexant will update too. then perhaps my dvb-s card will be recognize (I don't have a good and fast connection so I can't excute cvs to update my dvb drivers) I'm afraid(I have fear) for some possible retrocompatibily problems between my software (kde gnome firefox xine mplayer vmware cxoffice kino main actor dvdrip and so on) and the new kernel What do you think?
