For ATSC I would do it vice versa: enable generated channel numbers by default, and disable by option. OTOH the best option would be to find out how to get the real channel name. There must be a way, because the set top boxes are able to get it. Currently when ATSC/QAM channels don't have a name, it is because they don't provide a PSIP section. Maybe there is something else, maybe even provider-specific. regards, Patrick.
