[linux-dvb] [PATCH] Margi/Billionton DVD-to-Go Driver

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

Here is a patch against the current CVS dvb-kernel to update the
Margi/Billionton DVD-to-Go driver from the old DVB module and insert it into
dvb-kernel.

I've not tested Zoomed Video support yet (as I've not got the X driver
working on the laptop I've got this card in), but you can use the likes of
VDR (with streamdev-client) to playback to a TV via composite/s-video.

Zoomed Video should work (as that part of the code hasn't been changed since
the 2.4.x version) - but no promises.

You need PCMCIA and CardBus (e.g. Yenta) support in your kernel and I'd
recommend using the pcmcia-cs userspace apps from
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ to load the drivers.

There's probably a lot more work needed before it's of the same quality as
the other drivers, but at least it's working.

Chris
