Oops, forgot to add.

My guess is that the people seeing this error on newer systems are getting
the "Retry Limit Exceeded" error because of the newer machine they are
trying to use the card in. Maybe the machine has more devices using DMA
and the MITE chip is not getting serviced fast enough? Or maybe a BIOS or
other setting to increase the DMA priority?

The thread from the comedi_list is pretty old. If possible it would be nice
to know if they are still seeing problems or have found some solution.
