r8712u does not assign IPv6 address after router advertisement

Hello,

I am having problems with IPv6 on my r8712u device on Linux 3.0-rc3.
Are there any knows issues that would prevent IPv6 from working?

I had the same problem on 2.6.39 as well. I have not tried any other
kernel versions.

I can send a router solicitation with rdisc6:

blee@supra ~ $ sudo rdisc6 -1 wlan0
Soliciting ff02::2 (ff02::2) on wlan0...

Hop limit                 :           64 (      0x40)

Stateful address conf.    :           No

Stateful other conf.      :           No
Router preference         :       medium
Router lifetime           :         1800 (0x00000708) seconds
Reachable time            :  unspecified (0x00000000)
Retransmit time           :  unspecified (0x00000000)
 Source link-layer address: 16:2E:1E:CD:9A:2C
 Prefix                   : 2001:470:83fb::/64
  Valid time              :      2592000 (0x00278d00) seconds
  Pref. time              :       604800 (0x00093a80) seconds
 from fe80::b0

And see both the router solicitation and the router advertisement with
tcpdump:

23:14:21.730250 IP6 fe80::222:cfff:fe3d:deab > ff02::2: ICMP6, router
solicitation, length 8
23:14:21.874660 IP6 fe80::b0 > ff02::1: ICMP6, router advertisement,
length 56

However, no address gets assigned to the interface:

blee@supra ~ $ ip addr show dev wlan0
5: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast
state UP qlen 1000
    link/ether 00:22:cf:3d:de:ab brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 10.0.0.101/24 brd 10.0.0.255 scope global wlan0
    inet6 fe80::222:cfff:fe3d:deab/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
