Hello Serge,

Is there a mailing list devoted to the brcm80211 open driver
development? I didn't notice one and you seemed to be the
most frequent committer, so I'm emailing you, but please let
me know if I should be going elsewhere.

The driver developer mailing list is the primary communication mechanism. Ref: http://driverdev.linuxdriverproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devel

I've got a lenovo s10-3. I'm currently having to use the wl
driver in 2.6.38 (ubuntu natty kernel) because brcm80211
doesn't seem to handle ad-hoc.

I just wanted to make sure - is that expected, or is it
supposed to work and this is a bug?

Our driver does not yet support ad-hoc mode, as described on: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/brcm80211 in the section 'To be done once softmac driver is in mainline'.

We plan to add ad-hoc mode, however our driver is still in the 'staging' directory, which means that we cannot add new features.

I cc'ed the devel mailing list.

Bye, Roland.
