Note that Randy's mail is in UTF-8 encoding but in mail header is 
specified ISO-8859-1 encoding:

Content-Type: text/plain;
  charset=ISO-8859-1

This cause that git am will not correctly apply this patch.

It looks like some MTA modified mail or User-Agent 
Thunderbird/24.6.0 not generated MIME emails correctly :-(

I'm sending fixed original mail with correct encoding. You can 
find it in attachment - I believe that MTA or SMTP servers do not 
modify attachments.
