Documentation: rootwait does not work if root=devicenumber This makes it a bit tricky to use with LILO: Typing "root=/dev/... rootwait" directly on LILO's prompt boots fine, but putting root = /dev/... append = "rootwait" in lilo.conf fails, "rootwait" is silently ignored.
