This looks like the original version of the path. At the very least the R_AARCH64_ADR_PREL_LO21 relocation is generated for the adr instruction. The v2 has adrp and add pair for which the relocations are R_AARCH64_ADR_PREL_PG_HI21 and R_AARCH64_ADD_ABS_LO12_NC.
