Hi, I'm currently trying to add cryptodev support for Xilinx's HW accelerator (zynqmp-aes-gcm) however one question was raised. Why is the priority of the hardware accelerator lower (200) than the software one (300) ? Here is the pull request in question: https://github.com/cryptodev-linux/cryptodev-linux/pull/86 My tests show that the hardware accelerator is at least 2 times slower than the software one but it frees up some cpu cycles.
