Grr. I really want to look at this, as it seems a pretty sane idea from my side. Once we get do_fork_task we also have a very nice way to speed of kthread_create. Anyway off to being burried in trying to stabalize what we have merged for 2.6.24. There is a lot there that can use some polish.
