Shirish:
I added sec=ntlmv2 to each line in fstab and tested on debian
stable with (Linux 3.12-0.bpo.1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian
3.12.9-1~bpo70+1)(cifs.ko v.2.02) and that solved the case sensitivity
problem for me. I also tested it on debian stable with (Linux
3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.57-3+deb7u2)(cifs.ko v.1.76) which had
always worked and there were no problems using the new parameter.
I'll try it later on Mint 17 but have no reason to think it will be
any issues there either.
Thank you for helping me. I was getting ready to learn how to
compile a kernel so I could apply the patch. This solution was a
whole lot easier.
