[PATCH v3] can: Add driver for Kvaser PCIEcan devices

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

From: Henning Colliander <henning.colliander@xxxxxxxxxxx>

This patch adds support for Kvaser PCIEcan devices. This includes
support for up to 4 CAN channels on a single card, depending on device.

Changes in v3:
  - Fix SPDX-License-Identifier
  - Cleanup/refactor defines
  - Use iopoll, where appropriate
  - Use u8, instead of uint8_t
  - Use ARRAY_SIZE(), where appropriate
  - Drop support for generating error frames
  - Update stats, even if alloc_can_err_skb() fails
  - Remove data member from struct kvaser_pciefd_rx_packet, and skip
    intermediate memcpy() in kvaser_pciefd_handle_data_packet()
  - Call can_bus_off() only if restart-ms is 0

Changes in v2:
  - Remove all modifying macros
  - Cleanup/refactor defines
  - Remove netif_stop_queue() in start of kvaser_pciefd_start_xmit()
  - New structs kvaser_pciefd_{rx,tx}_packet, to distinguish between rx
    and tx packets
