after testing my patch a bit more, I ran into another issue. while the
bluetooth controller now comes online without issue, the wireless controller
does not (there was no issue with this before). So it seems I've traded one
issue for another. Oh well, back to the drawing board. If anyone has any
suggestions, please let me know.
