https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=195247 Bug ID: 195247 Summary: bluez: support for automated legacy pairing is gone (pincodes file) Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 4.10.0 Hardware: All OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Bluetooth Assignee: linux-bluetooth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: dgadomski@xxxxxxxxx Regression: No bluez dropped support for the /var/lib/bluetooth/<BD-MAC>/pincodes file in 4.101-3053-g06b401839. There are certain scenarios that depended on that functionality - e.g. a large number of Bluetooth <= 2.0 devices used across a number of workstations. This bug is based on a real-life scenario that requires hundreds of manual pairing operations after upgrading from Ubuntu 14.04 (bluez 4.101) to Ubuntu 16.04 (bluez 5.37) and feels like a regression in terms of offered features. Is there any replacement mechanism that could make automatic legacy pairing in newer versions of bluez? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.-- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-bluetooth" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
